Leighton Company will invest in Karimun

Leighton international company planning to invest their capital in Karimun free trade zone, Karimun regency, Riau Islands province with an investment of millions of U.S. dollars.

Vice Chairman of the Karimun Free Trade Zone Board, Mohammed Tahar said Leighton Company is currently conducting technical studies related to the investment plan.

Leighton company engaged in construction services that will establish a company in the coast of Teluk Paku, Pasir Panjang village, Meral District, adjacent land of oil terminal company from Germany, Oiltanking.

"The investments we do not know, but reaches millions of U.S. dollars," he said.

Leighton company is a German based company and has been operating in various countries, such as in Australia, Asia and others.

The company will sustain the existence of PT Saipem Karimun Yard which has been operating in Pangke Village, Meral District and Oiltanking.

PT Saipem Karimun Yard, an Italian company will make offshore oil rig, while the company Leighton is thought to be pillars of support providers to offshore oil platforms.

Meanwhile, Oiltanking company produced by offshore petroleum mining.
