Batam Hold International Sea Eagle Boat

Batam City Government held a rowing championship "International Sea Eagle Boat" which was followed 43 teams from domestic and abroad.

International Sea Eagle Boat was held in the waters of the Elang-elang Laut, Belakang Padang, Batam on 22 to 24 December 2011 with total prize fight Rp80 million.

The annual championship was supported by Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy which aims to increase domestic and foreign tourists visit in Batam city.

International Sea Eagle Boat Race 2011 was held in two classes, namely international hump and exhibitions. International class followed by teams from various countries, including Malaysian Polis team, Team Majelis Sukan Johor, Malaysia.

The team from the country followed by teams from Bengkalis, Riau Province, Solok (West Sumatra), Lingga-Tanjungpinang-Batam-Bintan Riau Islands), and Paddle Sports Association of South Sumatra.

In the year 2010 and the activities International Boat Sea Eagle was attended by 30 teams at home and abroad.

The activity is a series of anniversary of Batam City to-182 which is commemorated every December 18.
