One of the big club in the France Premier League Paris St Germain (PSG) relentless hunting by establishing intensive talks in order to bring the former England captain David Beckham.
Leonardo said PSG opened his hands wide to Beckham, as quoted from page Skysports.
Beckham will terminate his contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy this year too. 36-year-old attacking midfielder was decided to remain in the United States Major League (Major League Soccer, MLS) or return to Europe.
PSG have insisted that the former Manchester United star. Rumors circulated that Beckham would join one club in the Premiership.
Leonardo who now serves as director of sports PSG said Beckham is expected to be joined together with the French club in January 2012.
"I know his history, and he does not need to explain his past. He had been to Milan and that is the case exactly the same time," he said.
"Yes, we have had talks. Still needs time. We still have to look carefully its development. Suitable for him, suitable also for us," said Leonardo who once coached Beckham when he was at AC Milan, as quoted from the pages of The Sun.
"When you talk about Beckham then you talk all that great. Right now, his contract has expired, he will decide his future," said the Brazilian Leonardo.
He claimed that Beckham's presence in the PSG can trigger the enthusiasm of the French public the last time honey received his prestigious title since 1994.
Leonardo stated, "If only Beckham coming here, so many exciting things to happen here. If a player is as good as he wants to join Paris St Germain, is certainly a good start. We continue to open the door talks with him. PSG would welcome his arrival. PSG will stay in the top. There were 45,000 people in stadiums that have fun."
