Hundreds of Immigrant in Tanjungpinang Demand Clarity Their Status

Hundreds of immigrants from some countries, like Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and Sri Lanka require the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) provides clarity regarding the status of those who until recently was housed in Tanjungpinang Immigration Detention, Riau Islands Province.

Hundreds of immigrants held a demonstration on Monday this week in Tanjungpinang Immigration detention. They rallied while carrying a poster that asked UNCHR to immediately verify their status as refugees.
